The Expand-O-Ring-8 is a double arch bricking machine that has the greatest adjustment range of our family of bricking machines. The EOR-8 has three different scaffold frames and has multiple hinged arch sections. This allows the EOR-8 to be adjusted to many different diameter combinations within its range. We make adjusting the machine simple by supplying a EOR-8 sizing chart to assist you in determining the right scaffold system, the proper arch sections and setting all the adjustment points to the proper diameter location. The EOR-8 is a double arch machine, allowing for one row of brick to be keyed while the next row of brick is being installed. The EOR-8 has 8"/200mm pneumatic cylinder stroke. The EOR-8 is constructed with lightweight aluminum and can be assembled in 45 minutes once inside the kiln. The EOR-8 is manufactured in small components and can be handled by only two people. The machine is designed to fit into limited access kilns.

The Problem:

The three main goals when installing brick in rotary kilns is quality, safety, and speed of installation. Unfortunately, these goals can sometimes be conflicting. For plants with multiple sized kilns and contractors that service many plants with different kiln sizes, buying a bricking machine for each size kiln is not economically feasible.

The Solution:

The EOR-8 insures quality with pneumatic cylinders assisting in the precise placement of brick. By using the pneumatic cylinders to hold brick in place, there is never any unsupported, unkeyed brick overhead. Ergonomic design reduces fatigue and with it the chance of mental or physical errors ending in an lost time accident. The speed of installation is increased by the use of a double ring that allows the second ring to be installed while the first ring is being keyed out. This machine has the capability to be adjusted from 10'-0" through 18'-6" inside brick diameter (3.0m through 5.7m) eliminating the need to buy a different machine for each size kiln.

Justification:

The ability to adjust from 10'-0" through 18'-6" inside brick diameter (3.0m through 5.7m) eliminates the need for a contractor or a plant with multiple kiln diameters to buy multiple machines.

A single EOR-8 can be adjusted from 10'-0" through 18'-6" inside brick diameter (3.0m through 5.7m). We can customize the EOR-8 to suit your needs based on the above maximum range. For example - we can build an EOR-8 for a kiln range 12'-0" through 16'-0" (3.65m through 4.87m). The EOR-8 is recommended when you want the performance of a double arch machine with the ability to adjust the machine for multiple kiln diameters. This machine will give you great bricking performance, diameter flexibility and the greatest range of adjustment.
