The Pneumat-O-Ring is our original model first built in 1967. The POR is a single arched, fixed-diameter bricking machine, and built to the inside brick diameter. The POR is a productive model because it is custom built to exacting inside brick dimensions and does not need to be adjusted. The POR has 6" or 8"/200mm pneumatic cylinder stroke. This stroke allows the POR to accommodate different brick thickness. The POR is constructed of lightweight aluminum and can be assembled in 30 minutes once inside the kiln. The POR is manufactured in small components and can be handled by two people. The machine is designed to fit into limited access kilns.
The Problem:
The three main goals when installing brick in rotary kilns is quality, safety, and speed of installation. Unfortunately, these goals can sometimes be conflicting. Another problem in smaller kilns is confined space that restricts the number of people that can work within that space.
The Solution:
The POR insures quality with pneumatic cylinders assisting in the precise placement of brick. By using the pneumatic cylinders to hold brick in place, there is never any unsupported, unkeyed brick overhead. Ergonomic design reduces fatigue and with it the chance of mental or physical errors ending in an lost time accident. The speed of installation is increased by the POR's ease of use that raises the efficiency of your people. The POR is more suitable for small kilns in that it is more feasible to use a single arch than a double arch used in a larger kiln.
Justification:
ROI due to savings realized by increased kiln uptime, reduced maintenance costs, and a reduction in lost time accidents. Typically this ROI can be realized in one outage.
Features:
The POR can be built for any diameter kiln from 10'-0" - 25'-0" (3.0m - 7.6m). The POR is recommended for kilns with a single diameter or similar diameters. We have other models for multiple kiln diameters but there still is no substitute for a custom machine for each kiln. The best reason to buy a single arch POR is for use in small kilns (less than 10' / 3.0m) and when a double arch machine would not be beneficial.
