The personal protection tunnel or PPT is designed for worker safety from falling coating that withstands impacts of up to 250lbs (113.5kg) dropped from 2ft (.6M) with 3:1 safety factor. It's fabricated from 6061 NT-6 Aluminum with a steel mesh cover. On request, unassembled can fit through most openings. Each tunnel section is 5 ft (1.5M) long and can be connect together as long or as short as needed. For 5.5m & larger kilns, a collapsible carrier is included to attach to forklift for transportation.
The PPT has shock absorbed columns for increased safety. Shoulder harness is standard for increased stability. Each leg height can be adjusted in accordance with varying surfaces and thickness of a coated kiln. For manual installation, 5.5m kiln, the larger Set up Cage is 8 ft (3M) long & rolls along the spine of the tunnel allowing each tunnel section to be set up under cover. The first cage in the tunnel system is the 5 ft (1.5M) long Inspection Cage. Which can also be used free standing as a portable safety cage for quick inspections and repairs.
