Once
the bricking machine has served its purpose and has been removed from
the kiln, the question becomes - how far to disassemble it, where to put
it, and what storage precautions or preventive maintenance needs to be
done.
The Problem:
Cement plants are notorious for cement dust and variations in ambient
temperatures. In addition, we can say with certainty, that provision
have not be made for proper storage of maintenance equipment such as
bricking machines. Variations in temperature, dust, and moisture all
have adverse effects on the exposed bricking machine that is typically
stored on the burn floor.
The Solution:
We have customized a 20 foot (6.1 M) "SEA" shipping container
with custom brackets and storage boxes to contain and transport your
refractory maintenance equipment. This storage container reduces the
chance of lost or misplaced parts or damage to the equipment. Custom
brackets encourage the replacement of parts of the machine in their
chosen location. In addition to being lockable, the steel enclosure
protects the maintenance equipment from the environment.
Justification:
-
Reduced maintenance cost to the equipment due to the adverse effects
of the environment.
-
Reduced replacement costs because of lost or damaged parts due to
reduced handling.
-
Reduce the chance of equipment issues during an outage.
